Munster Joinery is delighted to have been associated with Eco Energy NI’s forward thinking retrofit project in Belfast. This project must surely influence the shape of the future of Northern Irelands social housing stock and will certainly be looked to from farther afield. The windows used were from our Passiv uPVC range which have been certified as Passive House suitable components by the Passive House Institute in Germany. The window frames have an effective insulating core and are triple glazed with gas filled units using low emissivity glass and warm edge spacer bar. The window is one of a very few in Europe to achieve Passive House Advanced Component classification.
